Township as well as neighbouring municipalities, The three-day season is for 'shotguns and primitive weapons only, and no dogs will be allowed on the hunt', The season will run Novem- ber 1, 2 and 3. The hunt includes the township of Cavan in the County of Peterborough, the townships of Manvers and Mariposa in the County of Victoria, the township of Scugog, formerly the town- ships of Cartwright, Reach and Scugog, and the town of Newcastle, in the Regional Municipality of Durham, formerly the townships of Clarke and Darlington, and those portions of the town- ships of Asphodel, North Monaghan, Otonabee and South Monaghan in the County of Peterborough ly- ing south of that part of the King's Highway known as No. 7. ARCHERY The popular archery sea- son will again be conducted by the Lindsay district at the Nonquon Wildlife area from October 25 to December 31. Bow hunters are reminded that for the three days of the extended archery season, there is also the three-day deer season for shotguns. THE REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY OF DURHAM NOTICE OF WATER AND SANITARY SEWER RATE INCREASE TOWNSHIP OF SCUGOG The Council of the Regional Municipality of Durham has recently adopted a new Uriform Water and Sanitary Sewer Rate program, effective January 1, 1976. This rate adjustment is the first increase initiated since the establishment of the Region on January 1, 1974. All prior billings for these essential services have been based on the existing area rates that were in effect as of December 3s 1973. The new Uniform Regional Water and Sanitary Sewer Rates will be phased in over a five year period, the first rate adjustment commencing July 15, 1976 with additional rate adjustments each January 1st over the next succeeding fo 1976 to December 31, 1976. ur years. Results of the opening day "+ Waterfowl] hunt on Septem- ber 25, 1676 in the Lindsay district involved the hunting success of 279 waterfowl hunters opeawing day -and these hunters succeeded in harvesting 302 ducks com- bined to give them an aver- age of 1.17 ducks per hunter. Mallards once again domin- ated the species harvested making up 54 per cent of the total with Blue-winged Teal and Wood ducks being the other species prevalent in the harvest.
