Our leaders taught us how to quilt and about the Durham Regional Police ; Request takeover delay Port Perry lawyer Tom Jermyn who heads the Durham Region Police Commission was one of a group of Regional govern- ment officials and members of the police commission who met with Oshawa Solicitor- General John MacBeth in Toronto last week to plead their case for delaying the takeover of Regional police into areas in Durham Region now covered by Ontario Pro- vincial Police. According to Jermyn, Mr. MacBeth reserved his decis- ion but it's hoped he will be quick and favorable when he makes up his mind.
