Crosier Service will be held in Utica United Church on Sunday, October 3 at 11:30 a.m. with the student mini- ster, Mr. Mike Ward in charge. Sunday School meets at, 10:15. On Sunday, October 3, from 2:00 to 8:30 p.m., York Presbytery is conducting a workshop on Christian Education at Aurora United Church. On Monday, October 4th at 7:15 p.m., the local Sunday School Convention with a special workshop on Christ- ian Educatin will be held in Epsom United Church. All youth teachers and leaders and others interested in Sun-. day School work are encour- aged to attend. We hope for better health for Mr. Roy Sutcliffe whois a patient in Port Perry Com- munity Memorial Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Mec- Carry and Mr. Thomin Sut- cliffe of Boyne City, Michi- gan, and Mr. and Mrs. Mel James and grandchildren of Port Perry called on Mr. and Mrs. Roy Sutcliffe on Satur- day. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Philip have returned from a two- week trip to the east coast. Mrs. Lloyd Taylor, her visitors, Mr. and Mrs. John- ston from England, and Mr. and Mrs. Bielby of Cedar Grove spent last week on a visit to Pennsylvania where they visited friends in the district from where the Reesor family came to Ontario, and places of inter- 'est in the Amish country, Mr. and Mrs. Walt, Mit- chell of Oshawa called on Mrs. James E, Mitchell last week. Mr. and Mrs. Hillis Wilbur ha and family were guests at a family gathering at Mr. and Mrs. George Beare's home on Sunday. The occasion was Mrs. Beare's birthday. The Royal Canadian Legion will commence its "Operation Service' in the community beginning Oct. 2 thru' Oct. 31, 1976. Operation Service is a campaign aimed at making contact with "every war veteran and ex-service person and their survivors, to make sure that they are fully aware of their rights and privileges. If you or yours fit into any of the above categories, be prepared to welcome the volunteer Legion visitor when he-she calls at your door. If you believe that you may have an entitlement to some benefit or service, read and complete the Questionnaire the Legion visitor will give you. This will assist in assessing your possible claim. The Legion volunteers wish to serve you and Canada through "Operation Service". It is known that thousands of Canadians have entitlements of which they are not aware. The Chairman of 'Operation Service' for this area is Clarence Nightingale.
