1 Midgets to play in North York League For the last two months, the Midgets have been'gett- ing in shape at the High School gym on Tuesday. Now they are outside. It's not too long before the boys get into action. For the one's that haven't heard, our Midgets have been invited into the North York Major League, including 8 teams, made up of three Midget teams and five Juvenile teams. The three .Midget teams consist of Oshawa, Richmond Hill and Port Perry. The Juvenile teams are all teams' from Toronto including the Midget "A" 0.A.S.A. Champion of last year, North York Ponderosa, Cedar Hill and North Ben- dale, which are second year teams. This also includes East Agincourt and Don Victoria. There will be nine home games played at the Joe Fowler Memorial Park (Lakefront) starting the first week in June. A schedule will be posted in the paper in the next week or two. Don't miss it. It will be the nine best games you'll see. The team expects to have many of last years players returning, and Club Manager Walter Sandison expects several new players at the first practise. The Lumbermen who last year won the 0.A.S.A. Inter- mediate "C" Zone Cham-- pionship, before being defeated by Binbrook in the quarter final round, will be again playing in the Oshawa City and District League, and their home games will be on Thursday nights.
