ar 4 PORT PERRY STAR -- Wednesday, Nov. 26, 1975 -- 31 ~Atoms make it two big wins over Orono Malmont Farms Atoms played in Orono on Novem- ber 19 and 'came away with a 10 to 2 victory. Port started out slow and found themselves down 1 to 0 at the 2:22 mark, From then on. in, the Malmont gang took 'control and tied the score at the 3:09 mark on a goal by Robby Long assisted by Jeff Johnstone. . Three minutes later; Jamie Lane scored unassisted and to close out the period, Brian Henricks scored assisted by Chris Martens.' Port scored four unanswer- ed goals in the second period. Scorers were Stan Glass unassisted, Jamie Lane from Darren Desautels and Brian Henricks, Brian Henricks unassisted, and Darren Desautels from Brian Henricks. Score at the end of the second period, .7 to 1 for Port. Port opened the scoring at the 3:49 mark of the third period on a goal by Brian « Henricks. assisted by Mark Goreski and Steve Lee. Orono scored their second and last goal at the four minute mark and the Mal- mont boys scored the last two goals of the game on a goal by Brian Henricks assisted by Steve Lee and Brian Henricks unassisted. This was a real team effort and all the boys should be congratulated for this win. On November 21, the Mal- mont Farms Atoms played at home against Orono and came out with a 6 to 1 victory. Port opened the scoring at the 1:40 mark on a goal by Russ Jones unassisted and added to the score at the 2:09 mark on a goal by Jamie Lane unassisted. The church services and bingos have been regular on Tuesdays and Thursdays respectively. We have had two contributions for bingo prizes. These are very much appreciated by Mrs. DeJong and Mrs. McNinley. The residents look forward to the prizes supplied by their bingo ladies. The Kinettes visited on November 17th with the Stone family. As always, this was a most enjoyable evening. We are busy preparing the float for the parade. a new Sp Students prepare for Spring track meets The Indoor Track Club had its second practice of the year with approximately 40 students taking part. If large numbers and enthusi- asm are factors in success, Port Perry should be well represented in the Spring Track meets. The first year girls' Basket- ball team has started prac- tices under the coaching of Suzie Bigglestone and Bev Simmonds. The girls will play in a one-day tourna- ment on December 10. In Intramural Hockey Wed- nesday night, Paul Litt's team led by. Paul's skating and passing and Greg Fedyk's scoring defeated Randy Knight's team 4-1. Randy Knight's blistering slapshot was the only puck to elude Dave Sinclair. In the other game, Bob Elliott's and Gerry Lane's teams battled to a 44 tie. The annual concert, "A Child's Christmas in Port Perry' will be held on Tues- day, December 9th at 7:30, in the High School Auditor- ium. The program is direct- ed toward the younger child- ren, grades 1, 2 and 3; However, children of all ages will enjoy the show. The general theme of this year's show is Walt Disney.
