Con- sroulafons Last Sunday the appropri- ate Thanksgiving decor- ations were still arrayed in the sanctuary for our 109th Anniversary Service which marked another special day in the life of our church. At the front entrance, Mr. and Mrs. T. Hodgins wel- comed local and visitors whom we were 'pleased to see. Our sister church's Port Perry 25-voice choir assisted. by Dr. T. Millar and Mr. Glenn Taylor, capable direc- tor of the choir, proved a treat and lavish in song. At this time our minister, Rev. R. Brawn, introduced the guest speaker 'Dr. G. Schwartz, B.A.L.TH., co- ordinating chaplain of Whitby Psychiatric Hospital. The speaker delivered a most inspiring talk, principly con- cerning his work, somewhat stirred and impressed us.all. Offering collected by two young men, Doug McMillan and Bryan Beacock. Following the service the ladies served a palatable lunch in the church parlours where warm fellowship could be noticed. The October meeting of the U,C.W. Unit 1 was invited to the home of Mrs. C. Love. President Mrs. W. Wozney tabled the meeting. Secret- ary Mrs. Snelgrove read the" minutes including a thank you note from Mrs. Joy Newnham, Picton. After business items were discuss- ed, Mrs. F. Harris was responsible in providing. a fitting Thanksgiving devotion. Lunch was served by Mrs. B. Smith and Mrs™V. Vance. Mr. Garth Brooks who is apprenticing in his 3rd year . atK.R. Coulter Co. Ltd., has now returned to further his studies in this field at the | George Brown College, Tor- onto, where we wish him success. Saturday night in therecre- ation centre, many folk enjoyed the Wozney party- shower in honour of a future bridal couple, Mr. Bill Woz- ney Jr. and his bride-to-be, Miss Bonnie Webb of Fergus area. We all repeat a hearty thank you to the Wozneys for the gay evening climaxed with delicious foods. Mr. and Mrs. B, Beacock accompanied his parents ir. and Mrs. L.
