9 Seagrave news By Mrs. Keith Puckrin This is the week for ghosts, goblins and witches to make the scene as Friday night is = that -great "trick-or-treat" # night. Let's all remember to have some small change ready for the children carry- ing the familiar Unicef boxes. Sunday morning Church and Sunday School resumed as usual and I must add that the few changes made in Sunday School organization was a real improvement. The children enjoyed: a film on Unicef and how our money is used helping the less fortunate presented by Mrs. Betty Somerville. Sun- day School teachers are re- minded to make a list of their students and ages and give to Mrs. Bonnie Branton by next Sunday, Nov. 2nd. Also the nursery class is: asking that if you have any good used toys, such as cars, trucks, dolls, blocks, books, dishes, please inform Mrs. _-Sandy McCully at 705-357- 3591. Her class would appreciate your assistance. No Church at Seagrave next week as Greenbank celebrates Anniversary Ser- vices. Sunday School will be as-usual at 11"a.m. Last Thurdday evening the Teenage Sunday School class with their teacher, Mrs. Keith Puckrin-and Mrs. Ray Abraham enjoyed the show "On the Other Side of the Mountain' currently playing in Oshawa, then off to Mother's Pizza House for a snack before heading home. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Puckrin enjoyed a Sunday afternoon visit from her brother, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Harris and family of Cambray. p Mr. and Mrs. Ian Fraser and family of Toronto were weekend visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Wanamaker. Our travellers, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Barr returned home Saturday from a trip to Cuba. Mr. Keith Rodd and girl friend Miss Donna Rise- brough of Uxbridge visited Mr. and Mrs. Don Beacock on Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Heywood Short enjoyed a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Braydon Broad of Midland on Monday after- noon. Sunday afternoon the Shorts visited Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Hobbs of Enniskil- en. Let's give all the "help and donations we can * for this annual project, The ladies work many days in advance making pies and pudding then cook turkeys and give of their time to serve tables and work in the kitchen. Exhibit was well received "The Louise Patterson- icraft Guild met in the Pres- byterian Sunday School room on Wednesday, October 8 with a very enthusiastic group present. The president opened the meeting with all repeating the Lord's Prayer. Many items of business were discussed, including the Craft Show for 1976. The program committee 'had a collection of Christmas decorations and showed how to make them. The Guild was very pleased tohavebeen a part of the first Craft Show and Demon- stration under the Ladies program to be held at an International Plowing Match. This exhibit was so well received that it will be a yearly event. The Rug Hook- ing, Broomstick Lace, Macrame, Leathercraft and Hand Pottery were from the Guild.
