Port Perry High School and G. L. Roberts High School of Oshawa faced each other on the soccer field last Tuesday in both junior and senior action. juniors tied 1-1, and G.L. The first inning was shaky for the Merchants, when Jordan's lead-off batter pop-up fly, over first base- man's head (Williams), end- ed by having Williams and "the right fielder, Wackett, collide. Both were very shook up for a moment, but remained in the game. The, Merchants pulled themselves together to save the inning as Elson had two strike-outs and Wackett receiving a fly to create third out. Inthe bottom of the second, the Merchants started it off Win first game of finals 7-1 against .On Sunday, October 5, the Merchants hosted Meaford in the first game of the All- Ontario Amateur Softball Championship Game in Mid- get "C" Class.
