Inthe "A" ie first game saw Pontypool take a 5 to 2 decision over the Yelverton Rockets behind the five-hit pitching of Dave Rafuse. Dale Stinson took the loss for Yelverton. In the second game of the series, Yelverton facing elimination exploded for a 13-9 win over the tough Pontypool club. Donnie Timms with relief help from Dale Stinson in the ninth inning was the winning pitcher.
