The Gavy Jackson Memorial Trophy for sports- manship and ability and the Vizely Trophy for the most improved player were awarded at the annual banquet of the Port Perry Minor Hockey Association. From left are Rick Best, winner of the Gary Jackson trophy and Wayne Venning, who awarded the trophy on behalf of Flamingo Pastries; and Steve Durham, most improved player and Gary McHugh, who presented the plaque to Steve. The Port Perry Minor Hockey sociation held ts annual banquet on Saturday, including the awarding of a number of plaques and trophies to top players and dedicated minor 'hockey supporters. Among those recognized for their support of minor hockey was the - . local branch of the Royal Canadian Legion, represent- ed by Bill McCartney (centre) and Don Cochrane, lifetime member of Port Perry Minor Hockey as player, coach, manager, and supporter of local hockey for more than 20 years.
