Car- ruthers who is retiring at the end of this term. The community will also be extending a tribute to Dr. M. B. Dymond who has for many years represented the neighbouring riding of Ontario. John Goss of the associ- ation, said the event is to honour the two men who have "served the community long and well" and are both retiring to take up other Canadian Legion to get new logo for anniversary The Royal Canadian Legion will have a new logo to be used in connection with the Legion's Golden Anniversary celebrations commencing this November. The new logo consists of a circle enclosing a represent- ation of a flaming torch set between the dates 1926 and: 1976, and under which appears the word "Legion" accompanied by three poppies. The new logo will only be used by the Royal Canadian Legion for the duration of their Golden Anniversary celebrations - from Novem- ber 11, 1975 to November 10, 1976. It is not intended to replace the Legion' s regular badge. The Legion has planned many activities to celebrate its fiftieth anniversary, the first being the illumination of the War Memorial on Parliament Hill on Novem-: ber 10th. Handicraft Guild 10 'years old The Louise Patterson Handicraft Guild met on April 9 at the Presbyterian Church with a good atten- dance. There was a discus- sion re our Rug and Craft Show to be held June 7. As this is our 10th anniversary, it was decided to have articles from previous shows as well as our new work. Mrs. Marian Larocoque of Little Britain gave a demon- stration in Ceramics. She told us the history and tech- niques of the craft. Marian brought clay and we had the opportunity of shaping small items. These 'Masterpieces' are being fired in Marian's kiln. 'Mr. Wilson said a reunion 78 of veterans from all over Ontario is planned for April 24, 1976 in .commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Legion."
