Mrs. Keith Ashton attend- ed the World's Day of Prayer in Uxbridge on Friday. Mr, and Mrs. Paul Baster, several of his associates and their wives flew to Nassau last week-end. They were lucky going and coming home to find Malton Airport open, Julie and Kathy Basler are always happy to stay with _Grandma and Grandpa Jones for the weekend when mother and father fly away. Our deepest sympathy to all relatives, in the area, of the late Mrs. Nelson Ashton of Ashburn. Brian and Barry Cather- wood were visiting Grandma. and Grandpa Ashton while Mother and Father were in Toronto for a few days last week. Kenneth was attend- ing a Credit Union Con- vention. Mr. and Mrs. Alan Ashton and family of Sonya visited Mr. and Mrs. H. Ashton Wednesday evening. Mrs. Walson visited Mr. and Mrs. Ron Watson of Scarborough, a guest for Michelle's fourth birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Ryall of Lindsay called on his sister, Mrs. Don Asling, also called on niece, Mrs. Faye Ashton and family. Dorothy and Stephanie Sanderson were Sunday sup- per guests with Mr. and Mrs. Asling. Dr. Jerrold Asling, Mrs. Asling, Jill and Jennifer. It is to be held August 7, 8, 9 and 10 featur- ing again this year midways, dancing, merchant street market, etc. 16 rinks competed on Saturday at the Curling rink in the Crest Hardware Bon- spiel. Although most of the school's activities concerned parent-teacher interviews, the display was set up to serve the almost 20 schools in the northern area of the Congratulations to Vera Knott who celebrated her 70th birthday on Wednesday last week.
