One minute and fifty-eight seconds into the third period Pete Lane again scored, de- flected a pass from mark Lee on a power play led by Bill Owen. Big Mike Healey fired in his second unassisted goal for the night at 6:30. This goal was also on a power play with Mike drilling it past the goalie on a powerful wrist shot and this.goal gave held onto tor the rest of the game. Port played West Rouge again the following day in West Rouge. This time Port won with a sound 4-1 victory. This game was one of the best refereed games this season and the West Rouge team couldn't blame their loss on the ref's this time. Merle Schewega played his best game of the season only allowing in one goal. The whole Port team was working together for the vic- tory. The Tim Kane, John Robertson and Terry Flieler played excellent defensive are from left to right: Helen Aude (lead). Rob Greiner and Bill Owen put together an excellent passing play with Bob scor- ing with 6:47 remaining in the first period. John Robertson decided to take a few seconds off from bodychecking "to" drill the puck over the sprawling goalie with 3 minutes re- maining in the first period. Scot Wilbur and Mike Healey got well deserved assists to this goal. They kept the puck in West Rouge territory many times and together, made up an almost unbeat- Two minutes into the third period, Scot Wilbur added one more goal for Port on a wicked slap shot from the point. This goal whistled into the open side of the net before their goalie had time to react. Robert Greiner scored his second goal of the game at 8:41 of the third. Rob made a great break the length of the ice and put the big deal on the West Rouge goalie and shovelled it in behind him. Wackell jg1- ® Jerry Perey started the lowed right behind him with scoring for Carl the Butcher goal and three assists. when he recieved a hard ice pass from Rick Rahm. This first goal upset Consumers very much. Then Allan Waldinsperger got a goal at the 6:00 mark of the first period when he recieved a blistering pass from Stuart Cochrane to put Carl the Butcher ahead 2-0. In the second period at the 3:50 mark Stuart Cochrane scored for Carl the Butcher when he beat goalie Rob Kroonenburg. At the 5:30 mark of the second period Kentin Baird received a pass from Colin Wackett and put the puck by goalie John Bourgeois to make the score 371. At the 13:50 mark Kentin Baird scored for Consumers to make the score 3-2. Late in the third period at 13:25 Kevin Williams re- ceived a pass from Larry Page to tie the game up 3-3. The score didn't change throughout the rest of the game. WAGG BROSTEXACO 3 CONSUMERS GAS 7 Kevin Williams was top scorer for the Consumer net, scoring their only goal of the game. On Thursday night at 8:30 the Bantam's will take on the first place Uxbridge team in the finals for the Lakeshore Division. Come on out and cheer on the team to a Wayne Taylor and Ron Espie finished off the scoring for Consumers. Larry Page and Jeff Blonge each assisted twince. Keith Dalton scored twice each from Gord Hintze for the Wagg team. Bill Bridge scored the other goal, unassisted.
