6 -- PORT PERRY STAR -- Wednesday, Dec. 18, 1974 Greenbank news A large crowd attended Church Sunday morning. Everyone enjoyed the Xmas pantomime and the special music by the Jr. Choir. Next Sunday. S.S. and Church will be held at the regular hours. Jr. Choir will again supply the music. We welcome Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Johnson of Oshawa to our community. They have taken up residence in the former Annie Guy House. The Afternoon U.C.W. will "be held on Tuesday, January 7th at-2 p.m. in the Church. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Thom- son entertained a few friends and neighbours, Saturday evening. Last Tuesday, the W.I. held their Xmas party. Everyone enjoyed dinner at the Werratal, later Mrs. Shirley Lee entertained in her home, where we played games, followed by dessert. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Snod- den and family were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Howard McMillan on Sunday. Congratulations to Rev. and Mrs. Roundell on the birth of their new grandson. Proud parents are Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Burgess of Pembroke. Mr. and Mrs. Armour Mec- millan visited Mr. and Mrs. Wallace McMillan in Orilla recently. The S.S. Xmas Tree was held in the hall on Tuesday evening with Santa Claus arriving on schedule. Mr. and Mrs. Murray Lee were in North Bay on Thurs- day to see Garry. Glad to report he is able to be home from the hospital. Visiting with the Elwood Clements and Roy Leask's, recently was Mr. Madill, a former teacher in Green- bank school. The Hall Board are holding their annual holiday dance on Saturday evening, December 28th. available now. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Stone and family visited with Mr. and Mrs. Ross Stone in Toronto on Sunday and attended Newtonbrooke United Church in Willow- * dale. Miss Janice Stone is home from London University for the holidays. . Mr. and Mrs. Fred Phoenix were in Toronto on Sunday to a 'get acquainted party and shower for Miss Marnie Skinner and John Phoenix held at the home of Miss Kathy Carson in Missasauga. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Brown of Washago were visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Archie Empringham on Sunday. Ken Munroe, Director of Education for the Board, _ said the board will lease the Association 12,000 square feet of land at a nominal fee. The land is part of East- dale Collegiate and is at Adelaide St. E., and Har- mony Road in Oshawa.
