HISTORICAL CHOIR PERFORMS IN TORONTO The Lake Scugog Histori- cal Choir presented the play "An Autum Sequel" at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Scarborough on Saturday night. * Mr. and Mrs. Danny Reesor are choir director and organist at St. Andrews. Rev. and Mrs. Mark Reeves and Mr. Ala- stair Reeves of Jarvis atten- ded the performance. Mr. Reeves, who was a former member of the cast, was called to the platform at the conclusion of the play, by the director, Mr. Norman Wat- son. The choir was entertained following the performance by the members of St. And- rews choir. The play is being given again in Whitby on Novem- ber 8th. GIRL GUIDE NEWS The second Port Perry Guide Company have had a very busy season so far this year. Five girls enjoyed a weekend camp at the home of their leader, Mrs. Anne Wanninkhof. They were Vivian Wilcox, Debbie Cros- ier, Dawn Taylor, Colene Watts and Terry Hamlet. Badges obtained were Camp Leader, Adventure and Back yard Camper. On November 29th, the Company are plan- ning 4 weekend at Camp Samac. Also, an enrolment and a Hallowe'en party is planned for October 30th. Visitors at the meeting last week were Mrs. Danforth - and daughter - Jammy of Cambridge Springs. Camera Club at High School By Linda Pacilla Everyone knows that a picture is worth a thousand words, but even then, some piclures ares-more expres- sive than others. The same can be ST of photographs; therefore, if you'd like to learn how to operate a 35 m.m. camera and how to produce prints as efficiently as possible, -the Port . Perry High School Photography Club is place to begin. The Club's . President is Scott Drew, a grade eleven "student, and staff advisors include Mr. Prentice and Mr. Lang. In addition to the combined knowledge of these three individuals, the club plans to have a quest speaker from - the Kodak Company and a trip to Durham College's photo- graphy lab is also on the agenda. All aspects of photography will be considered during the year including the art of doing enlargements and touching-up negatives. It is also hoped, that the mem- bers will gain practical ex- perience by doing photo- graphy for the school year- book. New members are still welcome.
