In his or her hand will be a receipt book, with stubs for tax deductible donations. Without "grassroots" support, the whole project is meaningless. Before you decide not to contribute or give only a token donation, reflect on the following articles and picture in your mind's eye what this building will mean to you and future generations. Talk to the canvasser. If inflation has caused you to exceed your current budget, your donation can be tailored to your situation, a post-dated cheque or a pledge is satisfactory, or, if you prefer to remit directly our address is Town Hall 1873, Box 628, Port Perry. From many people, much time and effort has been freely given over the past months. The fate of the project rests, not unjustly, on the response of the people the project will serve. The response of the people can only be measured in dollars - good wishes won't buy bricks. Please give generously. "Your Living Landmark" published in support of the Town Hall was made possible by Harry Zering and P. Hvidsten THURSDAY, OCTOBER 17, 1974 - 4
