I rowed Lake Scugog from Pine Point to Port Perry in an aluminum row boat in Art exhibition at Latcham Centre The Honeydale Women's Institute invites the public to attend an Art Exhibition to- be held at Latcham Centre, Friday, Sept. 20th - 2:30 to 5 p.m. The Art work of Miss Audrey Kent, who is well known in Port Perry will be featured consisting of a fas- cinating collection of Acry- lics, Oils, Water Colors, etc. Pictures will be prices for sale. Other Institute Members willhave a small showing as well. Audrey Kent has a_ unique talent with a distinctive style. She has been painting since she was a child, and later on attended Toronto Art College and Central Technical School studying Commercial Art. She has donated three pic- tures for a draw. The Tweedsmuir History will be on display under the supervision of the Curator "Mrs. Margaret Cornish. Afternoon tea will be served and Tea prizes will be drawn. 'I did this on the 24th of August, and it was an okay day except for the wind. 1 slept for the rest of the day and night. 1 really don't know how far it is, but I am Car mishap No injuries are reported in a single car mishap on Regional Road 8, east of Highway 7. Whitby provin- cial police report that a car driven by Brock Cantreil of Agincourt was pulling a trailer with a boat at about 10:45 p.m. Sunday when the mishap occurred. The boat and trailer were removed to Brian's Supertest station in Port Perry.
