As it was last year, the convention will be held over the Thanksgiving long week- end. He said he intends to seek re-election at North Bay, and he was drumming up support for the re-election campaign while in Port Perry. He also visited con- vention delegates in Whitby while in this area. Last year Mr. Hamelin was opposed in his success- ful race for the leadership by Bruce Arnold of Port Perry, but he will not face that competion in 1974. "Sid has done an amazing job. We have had fantastic growth this past year," Mr. Arnold told the Star "I hope to have the privelege of nom- ination him for a second year when I get to the convention next month."
