Although attendance was smaller than usual due to many folk being away on holidays, the friendly get to-gether was thoroughly enjoyed by some forty relatives who registered. Two visitors were welcomed. A cordial invitation was extended by Gord and Sybil Cawker to be guests at their home in Kirkfield next year on the last Sunday in July. This warm invitation was unanimously accepted. To "top off" an afternoon of swimming, visiting and catching up on the latest news of the various families, a delicious supper was par- taken of at 5 p.m. We do hope to see more of the young folk at this annual _ gathering next year. It .is likely that when Europeans arrived there were about 22,000 Inuit in what is now Canada - slightly more than at present.
