One and a half hours of solid entertainment for young and old, as veteran stunt drivers put their fleet of stock model 1974 Pontiacs through spectacular dare- devil stunts. .See them zig-zagging and criss crossing a hair's breath apart at high speed down the raceway. Watch KoKo the Clown as he tries to imitate some of the stunts in his Krazy Kar. Right before vour eyes, these dare devil drivers will leap from ramp to ramp, sailing through space: sending their cars along, perfectly balanced on two wheels. The breath-taking finale as one of the stunt men dive bombs his car into a heap of wrecks, turning end over end. On Tuesday August 13th the local club travelled to Bradford and defeated the home team by a 10-4 score. OCBL final series This week will see the beginning of the final series in the Ontario County Bush League commencing Tues- day, August 20 at Raglan Park. The Raglan Recreation Team defeated the Green- bank Gamblers in two games with a follow-up victory on Wednesday, August 14 after the initial victory on the 7th. Where the first game of the series was a tight, low scoring, defensive battle the second was extremely offen- sive with both teams dis- playing their batting power. Both teams scored three runs in the first but from the start Raglan was in the lead forcing Greenbank to try and catch up. Raglan never gave up the land but the home- town Gamblers were never far away. Ron Redman was the top hitter for Port Perry with a home run and a single while Grant McLaughlin, Rob Monro and Ken Davidson each had two hits; Roger Holtby added a triple. OnThursday, August 15 the Van Camp team completed the series sweep with a close 10-8 win at home. This was one of the most exciting games played at the water- front park all season, even if it wasn't the best played gamed by either team. The visiting Bradford club came out fast and took an early 5-0 lead as starting pitcher Rollie Skinner was in trouble in the first three innings and needed relief help from Laurie Williams who only allowed three runs in the seventh inning. The Van Camp Jrs. trail- ing by five wins came storm- ing back and scored six runs in the 3rd inning and never Presented in Twilight Matinee trailed after that, although Bradford did make it close in the last two innings.
