In case of rain a . meeting will be held in the Club House. The Junior Club has en- tered the South Ontario Softball - league with other clubs from Markham, North York, Richmond Hill, Aur- ora, Vandorff, Greenwood, Whitby and Port Perry In- termediates. This is a Intermediate "A" classed league with the Van Camp team the only Junior entry. The team will play a twenty game sche- uf, and with home games every Tuesday might, begin- ing May 20th. The local club, which made an excellent showing last season by goirg to the 0.AS.A. All-Ontario semi finals will have most of last year's players return- ing, but as usual with the coaching staff, all positions are open and anyone in the area under the age of 21 years will be more than welcome to participate and try for a position on the team. An added feature of this season for the Van Camp Juniors will be it's entry in the annual Oshawa Junior Tournament in July. This season the tournament will be a two game knock-out elimination with the winner going to Ottawa for the Canadian Junior Champion- ships later in the summer. All players please attend the first practise on Sunday or a meeting if it rains or contact either Mac Million or Wayne Venning. Jack Kane elected president of Flamingo Jr. "C" club was elected for the 74-75 season: The second annual Fla- mingo Pastries Junior "C" Hockey Club Meeting was held on Sunday, April 21st in the Port Perry Arena. The purpose of this meeting was to elect a new executive for the 74-75 sea- son. Mr. Elmer Lee who is giving up the post of Secret- ary-Treasurer, gave a good report with attendance fi- gures for the games up over the previous year, and year- end audit showing a small increase in profit over last year. Mr. Jack Kane and Mr. Carl Luke were selected to attend the annual O.H.A. Hockey Meeting this week- end in Toronto. The Port Perry delegation will again this year try and get the Junior age limited raised from 20 to 21 years in the Junior "C"' and "D" group. The annual hockey dance and dinner will be held on June 1st with further adver- tising to appear in later editions of the Star. Mark Goreski earned a hat-trick while Chris Martens got a pair for Emiels. Steve Lee and Russ Jones both got a pair for Gulf. This forced a final play off game on April 15th which Gulf won 4 - 2. Steve Lee led the way with two goals while Trevor Kennedy and Russ Jones got singles for Gulf. Mark Goreski did the lone scoring for Emiel's with two. Gulf won this Championship.
