Mr. Aldred was speaking about the Carling Aerobatic team which it has just re- cently sponsored. The team, all former mili- tary pilots, was first formed last December by. Manx Kelly of England. He got the group together and then turned over the managing to Nick Daniel and has since returned to England. Since January, they have been training in Florida, and just last month they returned and began to use the Vic Aldred farm on Scu- gog Island as a training area. } The Aldred farm is rea- sonably flat, and it marks the northern boundery of the Aerobatic Training Area as stipulated by the Dept. of Transport. Joel Aldred said that Car- lings own five planes which are known as Pitts Biplanes and are made in Wyoming. So far this year they have over 90 booked, including one to be held later in the year at Greenbank.
