Front: James Clement and Wayne Lown. Sea Cadefs win competition On Tuesday, February 19, the Port Perry Sea Cadets participated in a rifle com- petition held in Oshawa. The competition was for the sea cadets of the Don Flotilda which is made up of teams from* Scarborough, Rich- mond Hill, Oshawa, Whitby and Port Perry. Port Perry won this ¢om- petition with 693 points out of a possible "800. Oshawa scored 610, Richmond Hill 541, Scarborough 518, and Whitby 392. The Port Perry Sea Cadets will now represent the Don Flotilda in the all Ontario Rifle Competition to be held at Camp Borden on March 30th. The Port Perry Sea Cadet rifle team also took part in an invitational shoot held in Pickering, Saturday, Feb. 23rd. Their shoot was open to TRAN'S GENERAL STORE PRINCE ALBERT, ONT. Phone 985-2862 all Sea Cadets and Doug Olliffe tied for best shot of the Sea Cadets and Glen Heayn placed third. They each received plaques and _ prize money. The next event in the Don Flotilla will be a tug-of-war Doug Olliffe (team captain), and a rigging of Degin competition. This event will be hosted by the Port Perry Sea Cadets and will take place at the lake front on Saturday. March 2nd at 2 o'clock. This event will be included in the Chamber of Commerce Winter Carnival.
