Flamingos defeat Lindsay - tie series The Flamingos travelled to Lindsay on Friday night and came out of the game with a 6 -- 3 loss. In the first period Lindsay went ahead at the 39 second mark on a goal by Graham with assist going to Turner and Richardson. At the 2:42 minute mark Jobb tied it up for Port Perry. Assist going to Christie and Young. In the second period Port went ahead with a goal by _ Campbell, assist going to Kydd and Branton and then Jobb got his second goal unassisted to finish the scor- ® ing in that period. In the third period Lindsay tied it up on goals by Abercrombie and Wright. This put the game into overtime. The overtime was all Lindsay as they scored early at the 21 second mark. Oliver scored and then Hadley scored at 1:15 minute mark. Richardson finished the scoring at 7 minute mark. This wasn't one of the Flamingos better games. They didn't look sharp giving the puck away and making bad passes especially in their own end. They were not skating or playing their possitions especially in the over time. Cordingly played well in the Port Perry net coming up with a lot of key saves. Jobb and Camazzola were the pick of the forwards and Young had a good night on the defence. ' On Sunday night the Port Bantams play W. Rouge Beare Bantams play a best of 5 games against West Rouge starting in West Rouge Monday, Feb. 18 and playing the 2nd game at home. Wednesday, February 20 at 7:30 p.m. The 3rd game Friday the % 22nd at 8:30 also at home in Port Perry with a fourth game back at West Rouge Monday. February 25th and the fifth game in Port, February 17th, if necessary. This series should be a good one as these teams had two * for Lakeshore trophy wins each in 4 games against each other. In an Exhibition game, February 13th agains Aurora. Port Perry won 6 - 1. won 6 - 1. This game started slowly but gradually Port Perry took command and skated away from Aurora. Steve Jones had a big night scoring 3 goals, singles went to Larry Elson, Mike McQuade and Robt. Evans.
