The Flamingos had to score 8 goals in the last period to get 10 - 9 win. In the first period Doug Christie and Carlo Camaz- zoJu handled the Flamingo scoring while Flesch, Fife and Bivan scored for Cobourg. Flamingos were shut out with Lewis and Whiteclaw scoring for Cobourg. The third period saw the Port Perry boys come alive scoring 8 goals to Cobourgs 4. The first goal for Port was scored by Doug Christie on a penalty shot. Dave Hill, Ber- nie Aldred, Mark Jobb, Glen McCoy with singles goal, Paul Curtis with a pair Port Perry and Bowman- ville play to a 5 all tie on Thursday night in Port Perry. This was a reverse to the Cobourg games as the Flamingos blew a four goal lead. In the first period it was all Port Perry with Jackson, Christie and Campbell doing the scoring. The second period saw Campbell scoring two more goals to complete his hat trick. Bowmanville scorers were Wilcox and Tamblyn. In the third period, Bow- manville scored three un- answered goals with Mowat, Rice and Gibbs doing the scoring. On Saturday night the Flamingos defeated an improved Frankford team 6 - 3 in Frankford. The Port Perry boys played two periods of good hockey. They took a 8 to 0 lead in the first two periods and then gave up three goals to one in the third period. The goal scorers for Midgets At Stouffville Flamingos were = Christie, Jackson, | Jobb, Bourgeois and McLaughlin with a pair. Scoring for Frankford, Scott, Jacket and Doucette. This has assured the Flamingos of a third place finish on the league and this also proves that when the Port Boys want to put it all together by skating and checking and playing their best they can and will beat any team in the league. On Sunday, Jan. 20th the Flamingos play host to Sutton. This should be a good game because Sutton always plays it rough and they are still fighting for a play- off spot. Brilliant netminding It could have been worse for Port Perry midgets, but for the brilliant netminding of Barry Heard. As it was the Becker's milk squad slammed the Port 8-3 Jan. 3. Howie "Jones, showed his value to the Stouffville team killing penalties and taking his regular shift, scored 'three goals for the winners. 0.H.A. The visitors picked up two quick goals in the first period, but Stouffville came back with three tallies an the lead. Doug Feasby completed a play setup by Peter Fitzpatrick and Dave Mumford for the first goal, then Jones dented the twine to even the score. Fitz- patrick gave Stouffville the lead on a goal from Mumford and Jeff Roy. Jones picked up his second 5:29 of the second period with Stouffville a man short. Goalie Rick Marshman and Craig Waite picked up assists on the goal. Port Perry netted one to stay close to the milkmen. The gap widened in the final frame as Jones com- pleted his hat trick, taking an Andy Leitch pass. Leitch then netted a goal with Feasby picking up the _ assist. A major penalty later in the period to Stouffville allowed Fitzpatrick and Feasby to display their stick-handling abilities to Fillpoff the penalty.
