Ger "Th News from Prince Albert On Friday evening, June, 29, over (thirty relatives, close friends and neigh- bours were invited to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ron Deeth, "Windcrest Farm." This shower-party was planned in honour of Mr. Robt. Holtby and his bride- to-be Miss Jean McTavish of Port Perry. The earlier hours of the evening were occupied by playing a few rounds of bingo and prizes too. The time arrived when 2 for Jean and Robert com- menced unwrapping the many presents assisted by younger girls such as Laurel Holtby, Debbie Crosier, Patti Vernon, Brenda Armstrong. The- recipients voiced their appreciation for the prac- tical and useful gifts plus cash donations. Now out in the back lawn Ron was at the controls of the barbeque when the guests picked up tasty, hot hamburgers and trimmings available. Also a special decorated cake for the occasion was served. Everyone went away home after a happy even- ing. Near thirty folks of our village and rural enjoyed being among the three hun- dred guests at the Heayn- Saunders wedding in the new Pentecostal Church, King Street, West, Oshawa recently.
