On Wednesday April the 4th, the Nestleton Women's Institute held their meeting at the United church. The main item on the agenda was of officers, which are as follows . Past President, Mrs. Irma Welts. president, Mrs. B. De Jong. G. Heaslip. Second Vice, Mrs. Jean Thompson. Social Commit- tee, Mrs. M. Emmerson, Mrs. R. Sadler and Mrs. M. Fisher. As Mrs. J. DeJong will be attending the officer's conference in Waterloo, the next Institute meeting has been postponed until Friday, May 4th at the home of Mrs. C. Earnshaw in Caesarea. The meeting was closed in the usual manner. Mrs. Sophie Firlit was thanked for hosting the ladies. A del- icious lunch was served by Mrs. G. Heaslip and Mrs. H. DeJong. Mrs. J. Bolan -had her sister Mrs. W. Woocock from Toronto for a visit for a few days. the two sisters have not seen each other for over four years, so the reunion was a real treat for Mrs. Bolan. I do not have too much news as my stay in the hospital slowed me up a little. Just thoughts . . . A young girl, lovely, sweet, as yet unspoiled by life, is indeed a rare beauty to behold. A tiny bird of broken wing, hobbled panic stricken, fearing for his life, . .. yet to cage him would bring death by fright. Looking upon my beloved children, I feel a deep sense of pride; I humbly thank God that He created me a women. If you have an elderly person in your area, that has been confined to the house those long winter months. why not ask if they would care to go for a little drive with you. I am certain that you would make some dear soul find the loneliness is not so. difficult to cope with after all.
