Feb. 17 as part of the Winter Carnival. Eight teams will do battle for the Chamber of Com- merce awards and it looks like a good selection of teams willbe here. In the first game the Port Perry Brians Super- | 10 be exciting event borne Dekeyser's who are top team in the Colborne and District league. In the third game Cobourg © Maynards will play the Orilha Boyles Ind. team. Cobourg is the second place team in the Colborne league while Orillia has been a contender in the tournaments held in Mill brook and Colborne the past several seasons. The fourth test team will play the Peterborough Canucks. The Canucks are one of the top teams in the Kawartha League. The seconds game will see the Peterborough U.E. team playing the Col- game will match the Barrie CGE. team and the Minden Hylanders. Barrie will be ready as they have played in the Barrie Winter Carnival Tournament on the past weekend. Minden is a new club but could be a real dark horse before the day is over. Cochrane. Port Perry high School is hosting an 8 team invitational junior (ages 15.16) basketball tournament on Saturday, we take the February 17. There will be games throughout the morning and afternoon at both R.H. Corn- ish Public School gym and the high school. The conso- lation championship is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.; th championship for 5:30 p.m. Both of these final games will be played in the high school gym. Admission is 50 cents for adults, 25 cents' for students. The tournament should be highly competititve since several of the competing is played.
