Norman McKenzie, Associate sec'ty Division of Mission Canada, was the guest speaker of the 10th annual Meeting of the Lind- say Presbyterial United Church Women, held in Cambridge St. United Church on January 24, 1973. He spoke on Evangelism and Key 73. We are entering a new era. Sometimes with the modern machinery we have to-day we forget the seed that has been planted and it is this seed that is the heart of the Christian Gospel. No matter where we go, no matter what the cultural background nor what the culture, the seed or the Good News is all the same. Some of the ways we can explain the Good News or the Christian seed is sharing with others in Bible study groups, personal testimony and helping wherever and 'whenever the need. We as Christian people have a great responsibility through Evangelism which is only one beggar telling another beggar where food may be found. He concluded his talk with these words, May God take our hands as we go out into exciting work both at home and around the world. The moring session opened with Mrs. Gillis, Pres. , in the chair. The worship service was taken by Rev. Lorne Dorsch basing his remarks on Luke 8, verse 4. The study for 1973 - 74 will be Mission To-day, and a Semi- nar will be held at the United Nations N.Y. June 4 - 8. She conducted the election of officers and had a very impressive installation ser- vice. Mrs. Freeborn very ably led in hymn songs both morning and afternoon. Mrs. Omemee, and some of the Presbyterial officers took part in a skit, End of Lifes Road. These ladies passed through the gateway be- tween heaven and earth and received a crown worthy of their work on earth. This revealed that there is a crown for us all be it plain or gilded with stars. The skit closed with the group singing "Will there be any stars in my crown." Rev. Frazer Lacey an- nounced a Christian Train- ing Event, proposed by the division of Mission to be held in Oakwood beginning March 21 and Mrs. Bursey in giving the courtesy report brought the meeting to a close to meet in 1974 in Queen Street United Church.
