No. 18 Glenn McCoy Glenn plays left wing for the Port Perry Junior C's. He lives in Port Perry where he played his minor hockey. Glenn is one of the youngest players on the team. He is 17 years old. He is a hard worker and a fast skater. Glenn had a good try at the Ajax tier 2, Junior A this year.. No. 5 Paul Curtis Paul is playing defence for the Port Perry Juniors. He is the youngest player on the team at 17 years old. Paul lives in Uxbridge where he played his minor hockey. Paul is one of the steady defenc emen on the team. Paul is a real good prospect. Pee Wees head for playoffs The Legion Pee Wee's after having a wonderful Christmas holiday, came alive and have been on the track heading towards the playoffs. The leaders and cubs put on a play based on a Luke writing about the birth of Christ. The cubs were dressed in the old costume of two thousand years ago. The parents did a wonderful job on costume and are to be thanked. The concert's Christmas scene ended- with a sketch from the Little Drummer Boy. Overall, the play was well done and added to the meaning of Christmas. It was the 23rd of December, so Santa was unable to come since he was busy at the Pole so he sent a helper, a princess. She gave out 50 boxes of candy to the LOUISE PATTERSON HANDICRAFT GUILD The regular monthly meeting was held in the Presbyterian Church Hall on Wednesday, January 10. The membership is grow- ing as almost each month one or more interested ladies are joining, consequently there were thirty-one pre- sent including seven visitors. The president, Mrs. Na- ples again read to us two letters from absent mem- bers. Two cards were signed by each and everyone to those who are ill. At the February meeting, a new slate of offices will be installed and the eighth birthday celebrated. Mrs. DeYonge was in charge of the "Work Shop" and ably showed us how to make attractive wool flo- wers, which can be used as corsage or gift decoration. children. Port Perry is a village to be proud of in many ways. Cedar Creek Mr. and Mrs. Grant Real moved to Georgetown the last week in December. Allen Keetch, son Ken and twin daughters, Cathy and Carol of Whitby visited George Kilpatrick last Sun- day afternoon. Sympathy is extended to the three bereaved families. On Sunday, Mrs. John den Boer received work of. the death of her father in Holland. She left Malton Air Port Monday afterioon to attend the funeral. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Mac- Culloch and Ross left on Monday for Eastern Ontario to attend the funeral of Mrs. MacCullochs mother. The funeral was on Wednesday. On Tuesday morning, Mrs. Jack Craighead died sud- denly at her home. The funeral was held on Thurs- day afternoon at the McDer- mott Panabaker Chapel, Port Perry, with the Rev. Wm.
