No. 2, Port Perry. entertained Hol- stein Breeders from ~Swit- zerland, England, Wales, Ireland and Italy. Mr. Tom Cook of Thunder Bay recently visited for a few days with his father, Mr. Clarence. Cook and Mr. Bruce Shaw and family. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Jackson celebrated their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary on Sat- urday evening, when 150 feémily and friends gathered at the Legion Hall to help them celebrate, the happy ocasion. Wes Jackson's orchestra supplied the music for an evening of dancing. Mr. Reg Moorehead, Tor- onto, once a resident of Port Perry and a long time friend of the Jackson's was the master of ceremonies. All enjoyed a buffet dinner later, capably catered to by the Ladies Auxiliary of the Legion. Talking with the Area Commissioner for Guiding in Port Perry, Mrs. Lorraine Quinton, she stated that the number of Brownies, Guides and also Leaders is up this year according to the 1972 census taken this fall. Brow- nies are up twelve in number, Guides eleven and five more leaders are reg- istered this year than at census taking last year. Miss Clara Seens of Peter- borough was a weekend guest with Mrs. Meta Holtby of Prospect. Prince Albert News Last Thursday night a group of well-wishers gat- hered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Deeth to honour their only daughter Lynn who was recently united in marriage to Mr. Robert Webber of Columbus.
