November 30, December 1 Borelians stage "My Friend Irma" My Friend Irma, whom many will remember from the successful CBS radio series, will be in town on the nights of November 30 and December 1st when The Borelians present the stage version in the Port Perry High School auditorium. Featuring Edna Brunton in the starring role, the play Pa chronicles the life of zany [Irma and her longsuffering "roommate Jane (played by Irma Lewis). The cast also includes Mrs. O'Reilly (Beryl Pearce), their love- lorn landlady, and Madame Magda (Jean Kennedy) who keeps trained fleas. The plot is concerned with the efforts of Jane's boy- friend help out his cartoonist friend (Roland Skinner) who wants to do a cartoon strip based on Ir- ma's antics. To do so, he has to become better acquainted with Irma. The consequen- ces are more than he bargained for.
