Mr. and Mrs. Robert G. DeShane were married in Trinity United Church, Uxbridge, on Saturday June 24, 1972 at 4:00 - Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Free- man Jr. and family have returned from a vacation in the north and are now concentrating on the start of a new house beside their garages. Mr, and Mrs. John Sweet- man took their 2 grand- daughters, Carol and Kathie Kane on a northern vacation to matachewan, 45 miles north of New Liskeard. While there, they took the Polar Bear Express to Moosonee on Moose River which empties into James Bay. Their plea- sure was dampened by many days of rain. On Saturday, Mrs. Roy Freeman and mrs. Catherine Nicholls has re- turned home after an excit- ing 10 day vacation with - the Young Voyageurs, a group sponsored by the federal and provincial gov- i Sunday with the Ron Wana- maker family in Oshawa. The Carrs were abroad on Sunday too. They attended a family shower at the Bailey cottage near Kirk- field in honour of their cousin Miss Wendy Tamb- lyn and Mr, Wayne Peyton who are being married soon. Mr. and Mrs. Don Hunter too k off again on Sunday for Chatham where they are attending the big corn festival. Its "Back to Church" again next Sunday. We suppose there will be some- one to speak to the congre- gation but right now haven't a clue as to who it might be.
