(705) 357-3270 of gas line by June 1st A representative of the Consumers Gas Company attended the Council meeting of April 11 to enquire about the correct procedures to he followed in order to obtain a permit for the installation of 8as mains in Port Perry. Mr. John Graham" of Consumers explained to Council that gas mains are usually installed three feet towards the centre-line of the road from the lot line, at a depth of three to four feet. He said wherever possible mains are installed off the pavement, and he assured Council it is company policy "to repair property and roads tothe same condition as prior to construction of the mains. Nursing Home News We welcome to the staff Mrs. Eleanor Holroyd, R.N. who joined us last Friday. We had a pleasant visit from Mrs. Gladys Thompson and Mrs. Ruth Wilson from Blackstock, United Church. Rev. R.C. Rose visited the Home on Wednesday last and served Holy Communion to- the Anglican residents. Jimmy Wyatt was hospita- lized in the Port Perry Hospital most of the week. He isbackatthehomeand we are happy toreportis now feeling much better. Also in the Port Perry Hospital is Mr. Stan Storey whom we hear is progressing satisfactorily.
