This final game in the best twoofthree series was played Sunday, and was perhaps the best game of the season. It was the cleanest game between these two long-time rivals. Both teams played except- ionally well, withgoal tenders Garth Linton of the Dozers and Wayne Cox of the Rebels called on to make numerous difficult stops. Rebels opened the scoring at3:360f the first period when DaleCrawfordscored on a set up from Dave Durham and Pat Thompson. Late in the first period, Dozers got onthe score- board when John Cooper took advantage of some sloppy work by Rebels defense to steal the ball and put it home. The second period started cautiously with both teams waiting for; the other to make a mistake. Vin Walker took advantage of another Rebel miscue as he scored to give Dozers a 2 - 1 lead. With four minutes remaining Pat Thompsontied the score ashe hammered home a pass from Dalé Crawford. This set the stage for Jack Gibson 'winning goal' in the dying seconds. It came when Don Gray won a face-off deep in the Rebel zone, passed to John Cooper who relayed the ball to Gibson at the edge of the goal crease. For Jack Gibson, it was his first goal of "Ap Ra HH ny Ashbridge, Mark Kenny, Bobby Newlove, John Bourgeois, Rick Deshane, Paul Kristensen.
