Dear Sir: Sunday T attended a meet- ing of some concern to the town's people, in regard to starting a Navy League for young boys in Port Perry, After listening in at the meeting I agree the organ- ization must be a deserving one, but so is the Scout movement. I wish the Navy League luck, but my main concern is the lack of interest for the Scout 'move- ment. We have repeatedly asked for volunteers to take on jobs as leaders for ours young boys. And I am again asking you men to come out-and help make the Scout move- ment strong and héalthy. Anyone interested, please call Mr. Jack Owen or myself, Akela Saulnier. "Wake up men and help a dying movement!" Yours truly Paul Saulnier., "To the Editor: I'm so pleased Fiddle Faddle and Fuddle-Duddle pn: and In Uxbridge T.J. Andi in his letter, Dave said something that struck me. He said, "Weeklies are a gold mine." He's right. And that brings me to another old friend - my favourite weekly. Naturally, it's the weekly of which I used to be editor. It was ---with;great-delight-that- I read-recently-a letter to the editor in weekly. It stated "The former editors (that's me) were gentlemen." I agree. * Latest issue states that Bill 'Smiley is "a fine man and a great writer," I think the writer of the letter thus proclaiming has either a drinking or a mental problem, but I -don't even care. Although I think it might have been a fine writer and a great man. Another gem, same issue.
