About 70 were in 'attendance around the tables creating a splendid atmos- phere for the "Family Night Celebration". By courtesy of Mr. H. Toombs, two excellent films were screened, the first set in British Columbias roaring rivers and majestic moun- tains. The Port Perry Cen- tennial Film, brought back some of the highlights of one of the most eventful weeks in the history of our town.. A hearty singsong led by Mr. J. Williamson accom- anied by Mrs. L. Hunter at the piano produced both harmony and smiles. Mrs. D. Bentléy gave two readings with remarkable facility and fantastic memory. Appreciation to Mr. H. | Toombs was expressed by Miss W. Causley as was the appreciation voiced by Mr. D. Sinclair for the hospitality i of the Ladies Aid. The Pastor closed the evening event with a Psalm reading and praver. Detachment from OPP Report Questionnaire PORT PERRY STAR -- Wednesday, March 15, 1972-11 For the week ending March 12, 1972, the Whitby of the. OPP reports a total of 19 motor vehicle collisions causing $8,000 damage. Four persons were injured, and there were no fatalities. To date this year, there have been three persons killed on roads:patrolled by the Whitby OPP. To this date in 1971, there had been no fatlities, 1 Also for the week ending March 12, the OPP reports.
