The centre supervisor will be Mr, F.J. McKay on transfer from the Barrie Driver Examination Also taking up residence in Port Perry will be Mr. E. Wills now on the staff of the Aurora Centre. Both men have more than eight years experience as driver examiners, » The Port Perry Centre will be open four days a week, replacing the weekly service presently provided for the area at Uxbridge. Employees of Ontario County will retire at age 65 instead of 70 as is the present practice, under a con- solidation of benefits and working conditions approved by county council Tuesday. The new regulations state that council may extend the age of retirement for a period not exceeding one year at a timeuntil the employee reaches 70, and persons now 65 or over will be employed until April 1, 1972 when committees will prepare to their future employment. Under the new regulations, leave of absence without loss of pay may be granted to an employee for a period not exceeding three days in the ' case of a death in his im- mediate family. Hours of work for outside employees of the road department were reduced to" 81% hours per day from 9 hours, and to 42'% hours per week from 45 hours. Miss Debbie Vickery, Zion, visited recently with Mr. and Mrs. Larry Riddell family and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. C. Cooper, Orono enjoyed a--chicken dinner with Mrs. W.
