Hill of Mississauga spent = the weekend with her daughter Dear Sir: As I read the article about the policies of our local school and how Mr. Mac- * Donald is trying so hard I was: almost nauseated. "It says, in the article that he has "listened to people who have come to him," but there are .two kinds of listening, listening with your ears closed and listening with your mind open, his being thé former. About the issue ol the cafteria: teacher's have free time, when they're not _ teaching so why shouldn't students when they have spares? The teachers-have -- "lounges spread throughout the school, but what do the students have? We have the' library where even -voices -- which can't be heard by the person next to you are sought out, arid crushed 'by the * librarians, That's not our only choice. There's the siudy om News | Mrs. Stella Miller. Mr. and Mrs. Al Christie visited with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lynde of Ashburn on Wednesday of last week. His last point was about . oking on school property. In\a quote from the paper "the no-smoking. policy comes from the Board of Education and applies to all school property." What about the teachers? . If they are allowed to smoke .on "school property" why can't mature students? By mature I mean; if you're old enough to- vote you're old enough to smoke. Some of the teachers are only a few - (two - three) years older than the students. Our motto is "Out of darkness towards the light," "but someone had better find : the switch, soon!
