After working with the programme and your children this sum- mer, I can only say that to discontinue Playground would waste all our efforts this summer. It's up to you to see that the programme is supported. You determine its success or failure. At this time, I would like to thank you all for making my summer so meaningful. When I frist came here over three months ago to start the programme, I was a bit ap- prehensive to say the least. Now, I hate to leave. I consider myself very for- tunate to have been able to work for you. I have gained much more than I ever ex- pected 'and for this I thank you. Next summer I shall be attending school, since I am enrolled in a co-operative course consisting of four months of school and four| months of practical work, and as a result I will be unable to work with you on the ONE OF THE highlights of the Penny Carnival held Friday after the parade was thd announcement of the best boys and girls at the respective summer playgrounds.
