This is the first time a girl's team has participated in Ontario play- offs from Port Perry. The girls range in age from 11 to 14 years and al- though they lack experience, their desire and enthusiasm made the difference in the 3 wins before losing to Co- bourg in the finals 12 to 9. PARSER FW EHRUACH TRAST VA Sr bd LAL KO Murray Trophy Captured By Oshawa Club The Murray Trophy went to Oshawa again this year to rest for the next big day in 1971. The local club has some very good bowlers but their scores are small, even in winning games. Grant Real and Mrs. Love were two game winners and Roy Honey and Alma Cox were really in the running for a three game "winner against George Read & Mrs. Joyce of Oshawa and were one point ahead coming home. George Read made a real good shot, took the counter out and rolled the cat back to count three. Roy made a valiant attempt to win the game but was not success, ful. . The winners in rotation were: a J. Biddulph & Mrs, Clemence G. Read and Mrs. Joyce B. Joyce and Mrs. Mann H. Myers and Mrs. White. It was a pleasure to have Mrs. John Murray present to donate the trophy and also the individuals. This Saturday will be an- other good day as the men's double tournament has six- teen competitors. Manchester News Mrs. Latimer has returned to her home in Toronto after spending six weeks with Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Roberts. Mrs. Gladys Pollard, Ux- bridge and Mrs. Olga Pollard were recent guests of Mrs. Crosier. Mrs. Max Munro, Barrie has spent several days with her sister Mrs. John' Wilson. They enjoyed a motor trip down East with Craig and Ricky Dyke. The Keith Dykes have star- ted their new home in the village. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Duff have returned home after a week camping at Bancroft & area. Mr. & Mrs. Andy Fenema had their new baby John Daryl Christened in: Whitby on Sunday morning.
