It was generally agreed that "this would be possible after the contractor's work has been finished and inspect- ed. Regarding septic tanks, council felt that they should be pumped and filled or removed and the excavation filled. Council is also considering Italy. making it mandatory that all residents use the OWRC sewer system irregardless if their septic system is funct- ioning property. The aim, of course, and the reason for the sewer system is to cut down on pollution. Also discussed was the fee residents would be required to pay for the inspection of sewer hookups. = This was estimated to be roughly $10 per residence since it would likely involve several return trips by the inspector at any given place, . Details on this and other aspects of the bylaw will be debated further at meetings with the OWRC. Public hear- ings will also likely be held before the completed bylaw goes to the Ontario Municipal Board for final approval. In other business council: Accepted a cheque from the Township of Reach in the amount of $335.78 for its share of the 1970 indebtness of the arena; Granted Mrs. Ralph Haan, an employee at the Birdseye Centre Park, a 10 per cent increase in her pay.
