Cornish School. Behind Cindy is Kim Price, 5, who is proudly displaying her pet poodle which won the honours in the smallest category in the contest. First prize for the most original stuffed animal went to three-year-old Suzanne Greenhouse while Linda Warner, 6 topped the group _with her pink pig winning the most prettiest category. More than 45 children participated in the event judged by Mrs. Clara Warren of 370 Cochrane Street. On that day, in addition to most of the items on display in the first two weeks there will be added a display of 'Lion Glass' an American pattern which was very popular in this area in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The display will be part of a collection made by a local resident over many years. There will also be added a collection of crockery, feat- uring many pieces labelled with the names of local bus- inesses of the past, some which can definitely be dated prior to Confederation in 1867. A third addition will be a collection of children's toys. A special feature at the Museum later in the summer, probably late July will be a demonstration of basket-mak- ing by Indians from Scugog Island. They will prepare the wood right from the log, and demonstrate the weaving of baskets at various stages right to the finished product.
