The museum will be open every day but Monday until August 31 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays. Opening ceremonies takes place at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 5, but the museum will be open to the public for regular Sunday hours on that day. Head Church, which will cont- inue to play a part of its orig- inal role, will help to make the museum an institution of to- day as well as of yesterday. The museum has been supported by literally hund- reds of people in the past year, whether they paddled canoes, sold raffle tickets, wrote essays, bought copies of "The Shores of Scugog" or rubbed down old ploughs with oil, It has also been given the full co-operation of all, local councils, the Ontario Government's Department of Public Records and Archives, the Ontario County School Board, the United Church of Canada and many local busin- esses and organizations. The work is well under way, but there is much left to be done. Donations of display articles have been received regularly but many more will berequired before the museum can fulfil its hope to become a mirror of life in by-gone days in Port Perry, Regi) and Scugog.
