The 18- year-old Grade 13 student and son of Dr. R.J. and Mrs. McNab walked off with four top awards. He won the W.M. Aldred Memorial Trophy for the top all 'reund athlete (large trophy) for a start. Then he carted away the trophy for the most valuable participant in track and field along with the senior championship medal won at the zone track and field meet and then accepted the Zone 6 scoring plaque for his feats in basketball. Brian, who leaves Port Perry High School this term, will attend Queen's University in Kingston in the fall. The minutes of the last meeting and the roll call were read by Mrs. Roy Hop- kins; "In attendance were representatives from 30 UCW"s, 2 Regional Chairmen and 11 Presbyterial Officers. The annual meeting is to be held at Cannington on January 21, 1971. Mrs. Thos. A. Knott, Stew- ardship representative of the Missionary and Service Dept. of the United Church ,spoke on "Stewardship in our UCW. He begged us as United Church Women to keep calm and sit still in this fast changing church and world, and to carry on, as we have been, until things adjust themselves to a more con- crete level. A short discus- sion followed. Mrs. Coburn, Treasurer, gave her report which show- ed a balance of $950 00. Mrs. Gilson, . Those present where divided in groups--presidents, unit lea- ders and regional chairman.|: Each group had a leader and problems and ways of solving|, them, were discussed.
