The charge will be subject to annual réview. : The medical officer of health, Dr. C.M. Hoffman, reported he had been in touch with the health of animals branch of the federal depart- ment of agriculture and had been advised it is prepared to supply veterinarians and rabies vaccine for clinics within the county if a request to do so is received from county coun- cil. The board received a letter from the provincial minister of health stating Dr. Hoffman had been re-appointed medical officer of health to Dec. 31, 1970. from Mr. Lawrence that he has had a lot of criticism of the membership of the Com- ittaan Hitech The opinions and discus- sions continued over coffee in the cafeteria for there was still much to be said. It was reported the board has spent $141,084 between January and April of this year, During this period the board received $74,790 from the county and $60,063 from the province. There was a $6,151 surplus from last year. The board's net shareable budget for the year is $418,012. During April the unit's public health nurses paid 1,109 visits to 702 families. Four hundred and forty-six school visits were made with 831 audiometer tests and 2,717 vision tests made. One hundred and eighty-five child- ren and adults were immuniz- ed at clinics and another 570 children and teachers were immunized at schools. One hundred and seven children received measles vaccine. . Dental techniciansexamined 2,689 children in schools with 1,426 found without defects. Ninety-one children were seen at fluoride clinics. During the month the public 'health inspector made 82 sewage. disposal inspections, took 71 water samples and inspected 10 sources of water. Thirteen garbage inspections were conducted and 40 eating establishments were inspect- ed.
