Regional Stand Discussed In County Council - The position of the north. ern municipalities of Ontario County, regarding regional government was clarified at Tuesday's session of county council, last week. The consensus was all the present municipalities want to remain part of the region. Reeve John Dancey, Brock in the north want to remain part of the region; while Township, said Port Perry, Scugog and Reach want to be one unit. County Plowmen |, To Make Bid For World Match Every effort will be put forth by Ontario County plowmen at the annual meet- ing of the Ontario Plowmen's Association in Toronto next week, to secure the Interna- tional Plowing match for the county in 1974. Warden Robert Timbers, who is president of the asso- . ciation, said both the North and South Ontario Plowmen's Associations are backing the invitation. The securing of the big event, which was held on the Heber Down farm at Brooklin in 1956 would be a big asset to the whole dist- rict, he said.
