Port Perry displayed strict puck control with all three lines, continually keeping West Rouge in their end and pep- pering shot after shot at West Rouge goaltender. In the first period Port held a wide margin in play but at 12:32 R. Ryan of West Rouge got a break away to score his team's only goal of the night. With less than a min- ute remaining in the opening stanza B. Heard scored his first of four goals to tie it at 1-1. Dave Bourgeois and Danny McCartney the remain- der of this hot line picked up assists, In the second period Port Perry filled the West Rouge net five times with B. MIDGET "C" PLAYDOWNS Port Perry edges West Rouge Midgets 5-4 to take series in 2 straight games Port Perry opened the scoring at the 10 second mark of the first period on a goal by Martin Adamson. Later in the period West Rouge scored to even the game at 1 - 1, In the second period West Rouge scored two unanswer- ed goals to hold a 3-1 lead. Brent Heard opened scor- ing in the third period to make the score 3-2. Moments later West Rouge scored again to maintain their 2 goal lead. With less than 5 minutes remaining in the game Brent Heard scored his second goal of the game. Martin Adamson tied the game at 44 with his second goal. Dave Bourgeois came out of a scoring slump to get the winner with about a min- utes remaining in the game. The West Rouge goalie played an outstanding game to keep the score close. PeeWees Lose To Brooklin In Fifth Game Of Series The Legion Pee Wees went right to the last period of the fifth game of a 3 out 5 series before they lost out to the Brooklin Pee Wee's last Saturday afternoon. This was a hard fought series and a tough one to lose as the Legion team is a team to be proud of. The first game was played in Port Perry and the Legion team came out on top of this one 6-2. Goals scorers. for Port were Tom Olsen with three, assists-on two of them going to Ashbridge. Christie scored one unassisted, thon Hadley from Gord Scott and the final one going to Glenn McKean from Olsen. The Legion Pee Wee's tra- velled to Brooklin for the second game, This was a close game that could have gone either way but the Le- gion team lost this one 3-1. Game number five was played in Port Perry Satur- day afternoon, Feb. 21st. Port scored the first goal early in the game, it was Glenn McKean scoring from Doug Christie. Brooklin tied it up and it stayed that way until the end of the first period. Brooklin went ahead 2-1 in the second.
