Rose was part of the Brownie Pack and dressed as Raggedy Anne, won third prize and three little elves also with the Brownies, Allison McNab, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. R.G. McNab and Shelly and Leanne Howsam, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. R. Howsam, won fourth prize. There were so many imag- inative and clever costumes and decorative floats in the parade, unfortunately it's impossible to remember them all. Mrs. Jean Barbour and her baton twirlers, the three bands from the High School, Bowmanville and Uxbridge, also made great contributions to the parade. For the children, the great- est thrill was naturally to meet Santa, and receive a big bag of candy from him. The only mishap heard about was little six month old Vicky, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rensink, Prince Albert, inflicting a bump on her forehead when she fell.
