Cy's Gugs had plenty of opportunities to take over the scoring in the first two *periods but faile dto cash in. Several times the puck was left lying in front of the West Rouge goal tender but there wasn't anyone to pick up the rebounds. West Rouge took the lead 'on a goal by Dear from Quick in the first period. Some 100 persons attended the banquet held in the Christian Education Centre of the United Church. Among those present were, reeve J.J. Gibson, who presented individual trophies to the boys on behalf of the council and citizens of Port Perry. He is seen at left with one of the players, Dale Beare. Cartwright remained on top with a 4-1 win over Gibson, Wright and Huntington got the scores while McNab re- plied for Gibson's club. Ste- phen's scorers were Short, Campbell, Nesbitt, Phinney & Skinner in their 3-2 win over' Lefort who got 'goals from Evans and John: son, In Pee Wee two low scor- ing games were played, Hurst and McCoy tieing 1-1 and Best downing Cartwright 3-1. It was Hadley in the second period for Hurst and Bron- son in the first who got the first game's goal. Bourgeois Brian and Brett Campbell scored in Best's win against Henke's Cartwright goal. In Novice Cartwright got tallies from -Larmer (3) and Hawes in their 4-0 shut out of Petrozzi, In the other game Marten (3), McKee 2) and Pearce scored in a 6.3 Williams win over McQuade who got a hat trick from Cochrane. Uxbridge got one back be- fore Dave Bourgeois counted from Dale Bronson to make it 4-2. The third period saw one Uxbridge goal overshadowed by four Port Perry scores. Marksmen were Larry Jack- son from Campbell, Neil Mec- Laughlin from Brent Heard, Dale Bronson assisted by Glen McCoy and Robert Tay- lor from Cal Cochrane and Bill Jeffrey. Wayne Dowson playing in his first game of the year shared net minding duties with Rick Short. Tripp Construction Novice tied Lindsay 3-3 and led by John Kane's 3 goals downed Peterborough, 3-1 the past week.
